We totally get it – you’re worried that our cross-stitch patterns won’t stitch-up very well, and it’s going to be a hard lesson to learn if they don’t – what with wasted fabric and threads and TIME! Surely totally free patterns to download cannot be any good? What’s the catch?

Well please don’t worry – they’ve all been generated with industry standard software (3rd party, we haven’t written it!), and Nikki is stitching one at the moment herself (along with quite a few other projects.

Just look at the image below of her 24th July 2024 update of “Keeping Warm” – one of our favourite patterns. The 3d nature is really working well, and the eyes just ‘ping’ out of the fabric. We’ve also seen other keen stitchers sharing their progress of this pattern on instagram – it’s our no. 1 downloaded pattern, take a look at it here.

We thought it would make a lot of sense to keep you updated on Nikki’s own progress on one of her patterns, to show you what they look like as they stitch-up. One of the first patterns we created was the one she’s picked, Keeping Warm, a lovely pastel-shaded picture of a bear in winter, keep warming with his many woolen scarves. Nikki is also an experienced knitter so this one really hit the spot. You can download this cross-stitch pattern PDF here – like all our patterns it’s free, and works with Pattern Keeper app.
